Everyone should read this book and stop being ignorant.
Since this is a compilation of interviews and speeches, some things are repeated. But repetition is how our brains remember things, and many of these people and events are worth remembering.

A very important read about activism and how destroying the industrial complex is way more important and impactful than punishing the individual.
That with interconnectedness, the combining of global suffering into one large battle amongst all, is the only way we make change.
This book really gets you into the kind of Angela Davis with what starts as a q and an and then transitions to speeches made at events. Each bit of it is powerful and illuminating and depressing and hopeful at the same time.
Angela Davis is truly someone to go down in history.
10/10
Absolutely would recommend to anyone interested in activism and how to make impactful changes.

Second read through - highlighted the physical copy this time.
A MUST READ BOOK. Actually, made me feel inspired to organize for social justice in a connective and comprehensive way, rather than through a single issue lens. All struggles are tied to each other and the root of most global struggles is capitalism and anti-Black racism, which then helps explain a number of other social issues.

Of course anything Angela Davis says is worth attending to, but this collection was speeches that don’t elucidate much behind the theory. I had hoped it was more of a critical edition
