Patrick, our GUP or Guncle, has been working in London on a play. His play is ending, but he doesn’t want to go home to NYC because he’s broken up with his boyfriend. He gets a call from his brother informing him that he is getting married in Italy in 4 weeks. His brother asks him to watch his kids and get them to Italy for the wedding. They start in London and travel to Paris, Austria, and then Italy. Along the way, the kids tell him that they don’t want their dad to get married and ask for their uncle’s help. Patrick tries to teach them about love and love languages in the hopes that he can change their minds. However, once they get to the location of the wedding, the kids still want to stop the wedding. Patrick is put in the middle between the kids and their dad. This book was almost as much fun as the first one. I thoroughly enjoyed the references to Paris and Venice. I also really enjoyed the ending. I’m hoping there will be more Guncle in the future. I highly recommend the audio version.
