I've never read any Austen variation, so this is my first excursion to this genre and it was a great one! Wonderfully written with interpolations from original work and a bit more heat (Victorian style, keep your mind out of the gutter). Very clever and entertaining. Some plot changes were actually welcome, but mostly it follows the plot, with the major change of Elizabeth excepting Darcy's first proposal. It was really worth the read.

I started reading this after someone recommended it by saying it was a accurate rendition of P&P... Not to me, the voice and narrative felt very different to me
Iโm a sucker for Darcy, but mostly Iโm a sucker for love stories. And my god, this book has me crying at 3 am. happy tears of course.

This is the fanfic I live for. Very well written and quite saucy, read it in one sitting.
DNF @ 45% I really wanted to like this book. I really enjoyed another Pride & Prejudice variation/retelling earlier this year, and was hoping for the same feeling here. Alas, it wasn't to be. The plot felt a little dull and the relationship/interactions between Elisabeth and Mr. Darcy felt fake or forced at times. Perhaps I'll pick this up again later, but for right now, it felt like too much of a chore to read.
