For the most part, I didn't hate this one. There is much to like about it.
Not the part that it takes sooooooo long for Darcy to learn and realize he must change his selfishness.
[Funny thing is I have dated guys like D, (not the rich and handsome part) but the aspect that it was enough that they felt good about the relationship and didn't think they had to invest anything in making sure I was ok. hmmmmm]
However, D does get there in the end, and while the story is waaaaayyy too drawn out, it is a sweet story and well written.
E seems to not have her usual pep, she swallows a lot rather than say her piece, as she would have in canon. which works for this story, but makes her a little less E.

This book has a scene in it which haunted me, and I couldn’t remember what book it was from. I was so happy when I finally found it again! The scene I was remembering was Elizabeth proving a point to miss Bingley by smiling at Darcy from across the room and him coming when she “called”. The whole book is exquisite if you like an angsty and longing-filled Darcy!
Finally a novel-length fanfic which actually counts towards my reading goal!
Five star fic, three star novel.

This is a lovely retelling of Pride & Prejudice, where characters stay true to themselves while exploring the path not taken. Even for passive fans of Jane Austen - as I am - it is thoroughly enjoyable, and honestly, the perfect book to read when you're feeling a little blue and want to feel better.
This ain't part of the 1% that's worth dying for, that's for sure.
4.5 Stars
This was so much better than I expected. A fun thought experiment full of Darcy and Lizzie goodness.

An absolutely amazing book! This has to be my favorite retellings!
I absolutely loved this book! If you are a fan of Jane Austin or just loved the Pride and Prejudice movie, you have to read this book. Even my mom who is super picky and has a hard time finding a book she likes, stayed up late a couple nights to read this book. It was by far my favorite book I have read in years.
