The 1970s were a crazy time. I knew pretty much nothing about Patty Hearst or her kidnapping, so this was a fascinating read. I listened to the audiobook version which I would highly recommend.

I loved the incredible detail and background information provided in this book. Even with all of that the book remained easy to follow and understand. Living near where many of these events took place, I had always known the bare bones of the kidnapping and brainwashing/conversion of Patty Hearst. It was great to fill in the details and come to a conclusion for myself, right or wrong, about what happened to her.

Good coverage of the events, but biased.

Incredibly fascinating story. I knew nothing about the Patricia Hearst kidnapping in the 70s before reading this. It was a little hard to follow along with all the people and names in the audiobook version but still couldn't stop listening!

True crime is not my favorite genre, but I thought this book was very well-written and I ultimately enjoyed it, though it took me a while to get through.

Just a wonderful, elucidating, interesting, smooth, terrific book.
