Premetto che non ho un gatto, ma ne conosco un bel po', e leggendo questo volumetto ho spesso ridacchiato e pensato “AH, è proprio così!”. La raffigurazione del Vero gatto di Pratchett (che non è quello da salotto) copre varie aree: dall'aspetto fisico, ai giochi (il Fuorigioco, che “consiste semplicemente nel trovarsi dal lato sbagliato della porta e va avanti fino a quando lo consente la tolleranza umana e un pochino oltre”), al cibo, passando per “Come far prendere la pillola al proprio felino”. Tutte cose che, se entrate in un qualsiasi gruppo in cui si parli di gatti, vi troverete sicuramente, ma qui messe in una meravigliosa cornice di umorismo. Veramente carino questa specie di manualetto, anche nelle sue esagerazioni umoristiche c'è una base reale - consigliato a chi ama i gatti ovviamente.

It's been ages since I've read this book, but I still remember it fondly.

And there's one obvious thing about this fun little read.
Terry Pratchett knew cats. It was evident in his Discworld books, and, obviously, this one.
