This book is so utterly cheesy but I cannot help but love it. I bought it at a thrift store many years ago and I have read it several times. I did however forget about this book until I was packing some of my books up. I immediately grabbed it and read it on a road trip and was consumed with how much I remembered/forgotten. This book is such a light hearted read that I couldn’t put it back down until I was done.

I didn't remember that I had already reread it, apparently very forgettable.

I was loving this book, I really was. The heartbreak, the references, the drama, the friendships were all part of its charm.

But there comes a time when there is so much drama you sort of stop rooting for a couple out of frustration. There is only so many mistakes you can forgive before some serious grovelling is done. Unfortunately it reached that point for me right after he hooked up with the bitchy woman after the funeral. One time too many. Sort of didn't really care for them to get together after that point so anything after that was flat for me and it spoiled the whole book.

Such a shame. Female MC didn't have backbone enough.

There is just something about this book. It’s like my comfort book- I’ve read it at least 3 times, and always when I’m going through a tough time in my life. As the characters go through their tough moments, they help me through mine. Their family becomes my family. This will always be my 5 star, absolute favourite book (hands down no questions asked).

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I'll go ahead and tell you: Even though this is mostly silly chick lit, it actually made me cry. Something about the author's portrayal of these men and their relationships with women just tore me up.
