it was really good although i think he shouldve ended it abit better.

i remember being so shocked when alex killed the clone. like i re-read that section so many times and i was blown away.

Pretty good read, lots of action just like the rest of the series, along with a lot of emotional endings to round it all off. I had to read it again as I read this one first which confused me somewhat but it is still enjoyable as a book by itself but it does ruin the rest of the series a bit if you read it first, its just like reading the back page first.

Man this was a really good “ending” to the series (there’s still 3 books left but I think they’re a bit different).

There were many elements that I enjoyed about the book. The first being not only the final involvement of Scorpia, but also bringing back Julius Grief. It ultimately led to an epic showdown that matched the scopes of my favourite climaxes such as the ones in Skeleton Key and Ark Angel.

The ending was also bittersweet. Obviously what happened to Jack and just his past in general is terrible and very character building. But the fact that he was on his way to live with Sabina in San Fransisco was heartwarming. The ending actually brought a tear to my eyes (which is hard to do with me!) and was the perfect “ending” to the series.

This could take the cake for the best story of the series, maybe tied with Scorpia. It’s certainly the most emotional.

Also some fun notes to add: Mr Smithers is absolutely insane. Like what goes on inside that guy’s mind?
And Cairo sounds like a dump. Sorry Cairo.

I'M NOT A BOOK CRYER BUT THIS BOOK WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND HEART BREAKING I WAS IN TEARS ALEX HAS HAD SUCH HARD LIFE AND THIS BOOK WAS A TRAGIC END TO THE SERIES AS FAR AS WE KNOW ALEX, HIS PARENTS DIED WHEN HE WAS A BABY AND AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SERIES HIS UNCLE IAN DIED AND AS HE LOOKS FOR ANSWERS ABOUT HIS PARENTS, HE'S GIVEN HOPE AND THEN IT'S SNATCHED AWAY AND THEN IN SNAKEHEAD IT WAS SO HEARBREAKING WHEN HE FINDS OUT THAT HIS GODFATHER WHO WAS HIS DAD'S BEST MATE KILLED HIS PARENTS AND THEREFORE JACK IS THE ONLY PERSON HE HAS LEFT AND THEN HE HAS TO WATCH JACK GET BLOWN APART IN SOME CAR AND OMG HE'S JUST A CHILD AS WELL HE'S FIFTEEN YEARS OLD AND THAT'S JUST ABOUT AT THE END AW IT WAS JUST SO HEARTBREAKING I FELT HIS PAIN GAVE ME BLOODY GOOSEBUMPS... wow at my coherence lol

This was an exciting end to this series. I have now read the entire series. The characters are still in over their heads in this spy thriller. Alex is now 15 and ready to be done with the spy world. Jack is ready to return to the US to help with her agin parents. They set off on one last adventure. All the stories meet up and are settled in this last installment. The ending was abrupt but good. I enjoyed this ending to the novel series.

2021: 5 to 3.5 stars. very good but the fact Jack didn't actually die is hmm for me. Liked the last few chapters though.

so emotional the trauma i cant
