Forgive me for this unpopular review, but I did not love it as much as most of you did. I thought it was just okay. There were some amazing parts, don't get me wrong (the last 25 percent.) But several hundred pages could have been easily eliminated with nothing being lost of the plot. 1,128 pages is a bookstopper, and I felt nothing happened for almost half of them, and it was grueling and tiresome for me. The descriptives (especially of food and clothing) are overdone for my tastes, and I felt there were a lot of aimless and unfocused ramblings (songs, past family histories and retelling of old stories.) But I guess we all differ in preferences. I need a break before I read the next book. I need to see if anything good will finally ever happen to the Stark family (what is left of them.) And, where did little Rickon disappear to? In the previous novel he escaped with Bran, but Rickon was never mentioned with Bran in this one, which is weird! And Arya Stark is stuck in the same repetitive story, one kidnapper after another. Sansa's future looks bleak. Honestly, ALL of their futures look bleak. A good turn of events is more than welcome and overdue.

Super! Zatím asi nejlepší díl série. Pořád má ale dost hluchých míst a situování nejlepší scény doprostřed knihy mi nepřišlo jako nejšťastnější volba...

The perfect closing for thea trilogy. The next three books (sixth is in the making) depart from the main story lines told on issues 1 to 3.
New stories await, as the night is dark and full of terrors...

I can't believe I have become a Jaime Lannister fan... god this book was amazing so, so, so many things happen that will twist your heart back and forth. Despite knowing what was going to happen from watching the show and being on the internet for a long time this book still hits so hard. The ending... What a great book.
