Ohhhh where to begin. I wish there were half ratings because I would probably give this book a 3.5. It is so hard to rate this book because overall I did genuinely enjoy it, but I also had quite a few problems with it and frustrations.

1) There is a significant shift from the first book to this one. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with a shift, but this shift almost felt like it switched generes. I adored the driving mystery plot of the first book, and this one just felt like the mystery plot was kinda there we got hints of it here and there but it was mainly to show off the cool demon world and seduction. Which don't get me wrong, I have nothing against normally but the problem was it wasn't balanced well.

2) The will they won't they, constantly flipping emotions and horniness drove me nuts! And all for it to fade to black in the end!!!!!!!!!!! To comment on the balance mentioned previously, the horniness of the book often over shadowed the actual plot, which again... depending on how its paced can incorporate an equal amount of horniness and plot. But the fact that we spent alot of the book basically just doing a little hunting, lots of training, and then lots of making out, and then to have the main driving plot of the book in the last 2 chapters! We had to throw all of that together real quick. And thats i think the thing thats most upsetting. I genuinely think I would have given this book 4 to 5 stars if the last 2 chapters were about 5 or 6 chapters. It just felt so sloppy at the end and so rushed.

The main reason this book is getting a 3 is because it confuses me so much. I genuinely enjoyed reading most of it. I genuinely like the characters most of the time. I liked seeing Wrath and Emilia together, though I will say they don't have as much conviction as a couple as I would hope, something I hope will be remedied in the next book. I would enjoy reading it but I would often be frustrated with the pacing and the fact that for alot of the book not much happened. I will more than likely read the next book because im genuinely interested to see where this series goes, I just wished it would have delivered on either the mystery plot or the romance plot.
