Back to the Year One edition of the tale of the Mighty wonder woman and we finally got what can be said as the first change in the ever re-told origin story.

The issue details the events after the arrival of Diana to the human world for the first time as she is kept behind bars in a land filled with people with different languages , customs and technology to hers . Without giving anything away She finally gets to meet a person who speaks her language and "gets" her powers.

yes you read it right, this origin story states that although she is stronger and faster than most human , she gets stronger and faster than most superhuman but acquiring those powers that we know her for as gifts , from whom , i won't tell.

Meanwhile the new origin of Etta Jones is also quite amusing and fascinating if not a bit weird . I do like Etta Jones though so i absolutely do not mind it

again fantastic art , and a new vision by the author on the origin , basically a very decent issue

Christ I love this storyline. So great to get her origin along with all of the players in the present-day story. Like seeing Diana struggle to integrate into the world of men, like seeing her connection to Steve and understanding why their link is so inextricable.
