Although I didn’t actually read this book, I watched this YouTuber, Read Rant Review, essentially go over each chapter and describe the characters. I feel as traumatized as if I had actually read the book. This is insane. I listened to another YouTuber review Penelope Douglas’s book “Credence” and thought that was bad, which it is, but this… oh my god.

This book was a wild ride. Kristjen experienced a lot of neglect and found love at the Jaeger house. I’m really hoping we get books for all the brothers. Dallas’s story is interesting. Army was my guy though. Macon broke my heart. He was suffering so hard with depression and it took one girl to help him. I couldn’t do what kristjen did. No shame for sleeping around but I couldn’t do it with 4 out of the 5. Thankfully they all love her and her siblings. I love a found family vibe.

I am so conflicted by this book. Some of it was SO GOOD, some of it was okay and some of it was hard to get through. Love the writing style but stuff went from 0 to 100 way WAY too many times. Definitely have people i would recommend this book to though. However, for me, Credence so far is still my favorite I have read by Penelope Douglas.

I wasn’t really impressed. It was like Credence and The Ritual had a baby, but with mostly Credence’s features. 

I was shook when I read Credence for the first time since I went into it, literally blind. There’s a note in this book saying it’s recommended to read Tryst Six Venom first, and while I didn’t do that, I feel like I should’ve, even tho I haven’t been interested in it. 

The plot was confusing. I didn’t quite understand the FMCs emotions/thought process and the endgame love interest was so confusing. I just wasn’t a fan. 

I loved Misconduct and Bully from this author but I don’t think Penelope’s other works are for me.
