Tak tahle kniha mě docela překvapila. Čekala jsem klasický románek, setkali se, minuli se, našli se a nakonec jsem byla vyvedená z omylu komplexností celého příběhu. Ještě teď váhám, jestli dát 4 nebo 5 hvězd. Ono totiž přesně takový je život a občas se stává, že načasování prostě nevychází.

I did not finish this book. I don't think I can. As someone who was the other person in relationships (unknowingly), this hurts me lmao. There's actually no way 2 grown adults can't just be friends with one another.. why're you confessing to wanting to kiss ur best friends, MAN?! like yeah yeah, u saw him first but babes you literally said you saw him for a min..Like 60 seconds.. like 1 mintue and 60 more makes an hour. literally 30seconds times 2. PUHLEASE. insta love my ass. I'm too emotional for this book. It's going to be a no from me. I don't know.
Honestly though, if you're the type of reader who reads purely for entertainment and you dont get attached to characters or feel too deeply you should give this book a try. I've been in a bit of a slump and the first 100 pages although it was fast pacing but also slow bc nothing happened lmao its weird but its all the more intriguing and made me want to read nore chapters. However, I for one physically cannot finish. I js don't fw cheating I'm sorry lmaooo. Maybe a few months from now I'll give it another read. But for now I'm forever stuck on page 100. bahaha.

Another "holiday" book I chose based on the word December in the title. Although this is not at all a holiday book and the title is misleading in that the story takes place from December of 2008 - December 2017. So it's not ONE day in December. It's lots of days in different Decembers and other months as well. This book might appeal to hard-partying twenty-somethings looking for love in all the wrong places. To be sure, true love prevails in the end for both Sarah and Laurie, but it's a long road getting there with misadventures along the way. The first chapter held so much promise, but I was sorely disappointed in the rest of the story. I think I'm just too old for this book.
Not my favorite book, but not the worst book I’ve read either. I just thought it was meh. I found myself more interested in laurie and sarah’s storyline than laurie and jack’s. and oscar got on my nerves and ruined half the book for me because i never liked him. and jack and laurie should’ve just been honest from the get go. but i loved laurie and sarah. and sarah and luke. and i’m glad jack and laurie got the ending they did.

No one is more shocked than me at how much I ended up liking this book. I hate the premise. I cannot imagine how furious I would be in Sarah’s shoes. I do appreciate how conflicting and irrational a lot of Laurie’s thoughts on Jack were, especially at the beginning. It just made it feel realistic, to have weird little delusions that ur brain will justify in the most ridiculous ways.
The narrator for Laurie is soooo good.
