I really really enjoyed this one and it flowed really nicely. I loved the characters and getting to watch their relationship grow and develop into this intense, not perfect but so strong of a relationship. On paper do these characters match each other, hell no, but this is the definition of opposites attract and they worked incredibly well together, even through the lows. Lincoln is definitely a morally grey character and he is not for everyone, but I loved him and how he was so unapologetically himself, he acknowledges all his faults and embraces them. Does he go to the extremes to keep his woman, yeah he does but it just makes you love him even more. We get to watch Lincoln let these walls down around Monroe and let her help him to work through his grief from a childhood event, which gives you a whole other layer to Lincoln as a character. Monroe is such a sweet character and she works incredibly hard to create a life for herself that she never could of dreamed happening, she has such a difficult past that holds her back from a lot of things and you watch her grow as she tries to overcome the trauma of her childhood. She gets thrown into a situation that she never imaged and the way she handles it with such grace, whilst also questioning some life choices😂, was quite impactful as it allowed us to see this layer of Monroe and how she perceives not just the world but also Lincoln. The writing is so smooth and it just hooks you straight in and you fly through it.

I'm really intrigued to read the rest of the series, especially the hanger we have been left on for the next book.

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who like a TRUE possessive male!! The narration by these two was completely enjoyable and I got the worst sunburn of my life in the pool to prove how much this book makes you lose yourself in the story!!

he isolates her and she just lets him & then he basically sexually assaults her multiple times it’s a poorly written porno
