The first half of this book really drew me in with their back stories and just really wanting the FMC to catch a break at some point.. then she gets one but not the right way. What I did not expect was the way it was all handled. I don’t get surprised often in books anymore but I actually was that he went that far lol. The other half was just smut really but it was ok. A nice change up from other stuff I’ve been reading
The writing style was bad. Even via audio, I couldn't get past how the story was written.
The pacing was off. Monroe meets Lincoln at a charity event, becomes smitten, and never questions how he knows so much about her. Unless I missed something, I don't recall Lincoln ever revealing that he's the man she's been texting. Monroe gives off too-stupid-to-live vibes.

Lincoln was definitely an obsessive mc, it went a bit far with the whole injecting her and putting a shackle on her ankle but i love the unhingedness he gives!! He was feral to say the least but i loved their dynamic and the fact that he played hockey, say less.
