Look, did I love this? No. Will I think about it often? Probably

I picked this up off a recommendation from one of my favorite authors and knew going into it it would be dark. I guess I assumed the wrong kind of dark. 

The writing wasn't bad but I saw another review that said something to the effect of "This is a story of when the MMC is morally grey TO her" and that very well sums it up. If you watched Beauty and the Beast growing up and wished the Beast was even more morally deranged, then this is the book is for you.
