Only finished for a book club. I got the ick from the MMC and never recovered. So much of the darkness was unnecessary and destructive.

I felt like Monroe’s character completely excused all of the red flags Lincoln showed her which doesn’t make sense given ANY of her history. Lincoln wasn’t dark, he was a creep who pushed what he wanted on her and forced her to have nothing but him. That’s not love, that’s abuse.

This hockey romance was darker than I expected, and because I love me some dark romance, I was all about it. However, if you’re not a fan of stalker romance, this might not be for you because the MMC is definitely not a Hero. Lincoln will do anything to have Monroe, and he is self-admittedly unhinged.
