It was just okay.

It wasn't that bad of a book. Not of my favorite books though. I haven't continued the series. I'm not a big fan of this books as my best friend is. Sorry not sorry. The one thing I didn't like about this was that Nora & Patch (the main characters) weren't like in "love" at the first of the book, Nora kinda disliked him. But then they were like in love and she loved him. And I'm like whaaaat.

This book was SOO bad that I actually enjoyed it. 😂 Very Twilight.

I'm pretty sure that's not how anemia works but okay

After being disappointed by a few dystopian series endings I decided to take a breather and delve into a book series I have had sitting on my shelf for years and never got round to starting. At first I was very much 'typical mysterious boy turns up and has cold indifference to the girl so he must be harbouring some kind of supernatural secret and they end up falling in love' story....I've read many. A lot of the plots you could see coming before they happened, like the convenient new school psychologist who turned up right after Nora realises her stalker is a woman and we all knew Elliot would end up being some sort of bad guy. Even the Jules thing whilst mildly surprising; after Patch had said how he would have remembered seeing someone else in the arcade when Nora was with Vee and Elliott, you knew there was some kind of angel type connection coming up because surely only they could hide from Patch. I don't know if it's just because I've read so much in this genre that some of these things became obvious to me or if they were exactly that, obvious! Despite that however I still finished it in one sitting despite kind of guessing where the story was going and I'm looking forward to starting the second instalment tomorrow with the hopes that now the 'getting to know what Patch is' is out the way the story will move into a less predictable path.
