I was very excited to read the book, because many people liked it and the series as a whole and I’m not disappointed.
I loved the writing - it read easy, fast. The book has some “bald spots”, but I got over them, because of the overall experience I had with it.

The thing that made me make it a 4 and not a 5 star was the simple fact that I felt that through the 2/3 of the book nothing really happened. It had some plot, but it was nothing special nor very exciting.

The thing that made it a 4 and not a 3 star read was the last 1/3 of the book. I liked the plot, how it all turned out. I wasn’t expecting the thing that happened and it was

Loved the writing, the reveal of the plot, the end, the characters (they had flaws, but I didn’t find them annoying) - overall I would totally recommend.

4/5⭐️ Super faced paced and fast to read. I actually liked Patch…most of the time. HATED Vee. She was such a bad friend. I was kinda confused like halfway through but I actually really liked this book. Will definitely be picking up the next book and continuing this series.

I have been putting off reading this book because of the mixed reviews I've been seeing. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading this book! Nora didn't drive me nuts and Patch was a likable character as well.. except his name. I hate his name. Anyways, I didn't feel overwhelmed by how much Nora thought Patch was sooooooo dreeeaaamyyy, which is what I was expecting. However, I did have a problem with her best friend. What the hell is wrong with her? I'd be pissed if my best friend treated me like that! I will definitely be reading the next book to see what happens.

1 Star for the book the 2nd Star is for the awesome cover art.
This book was not as good as I thought it was gonna be. The premise was nice but the main character Nora was an idiot. But hey thats just my opinion. I'm not really sure if I will go on to read the others in this series or not...well maybe I will but not any time soon.

Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.
