Book 1 of 2025 done! This one was a recommended read from a girl from work, she said she really liked the series and the premise of fallen angels sounded awesome and a romance between a fallen angel and a human girl even better! Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations though. I feel like the path the story took for Patch and Nora to get together was all over the place and I really didn't feel the chemistry between the two of them at all and Nora was quite annoying in her back and forth with not trusting Patch and then having feelings for him. The villian of the story was good, I had no idea who the bad guy or "guys" were and that was a big surprise at the end. Although this is a story about angels the biggest part that made it not believable is how the parents are just so oblivious about their teenagers and where they are. Nora's mom takes a job that travels away from her the whole week after her husband was murdered the year before and isn't super worried about her daughter.
4.5 stars. Great story about a fallen angel who aspires to be human. To be human requires a human sacrifice. His plans go awry when he meets Nora. She becomes the sacrifice but he turns down his dream if humanity to save her, thereby becoming a guardian angel instead. Can't wait to start book two. I de oured this one.
It has some positives and some negatives. Negatives first; it was quite slow and I didn’t love the main characters. It was frustrating at how Nora accused everyone and as for her friend Vee!!!! Let’s just say she wouldn’t be my friend. The story line was very predictable and I’m not bothered about reading the rest in the series.
Positives; it has a slight semblance to Twilight with the boy girl relationship.
Overall, not a book to rave about.

Really enjoyed this. Very much a YA book from 2010, but I still found it so easy to read, and it held my interest throughout. Took a while to get going, but I enjoyed the growth of Patch so I didn’t really mind.
Love patch, Nora was a bit pathetic and her constant lying annoyed me, as well as the fact that she’s 17 and has “driving moccasins” 🙄, no particular love for Vee, but did enjoy the villain reveal at the end.
Looking forward to reading the rest!!

Thanks to my wonderful friend I was able to borrow her ARC of Hush, Hush and I just finished reading this book a few minutes ago and must say that I loved it! I need the sequel now and this book does not officially release until next month, how am I going to survive the wait? The characters were thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining, the protagonist her best-friend and Patch were each hilarious in their own right and I enjoyed a certain aspect Nora and I shared and was happy to completely understand her when that aspect of her life presented a problem (would give you more details but I don't want to spoil).
What I can say though is Hush, Hush is as hilarious as it is suspenseful and dark, and Patch is as terrifying as he is addicting.
The book had me hooked from before I read it and still has me in its clutches long after I've put it down.

NOT chaste eroticism for sure but still on the "I can recommend this to teens and not feel guilty" list. Very good and I'm dying to dive into Crescendo.
I didn't know what to expect from this book, not a masterpiece in the end but I found it an easy and enjoyable reading anyway.
Even though some turns in the story are very predictable and the plot is simple, the events keep you going. I've been fascinated by Patch misterious behaviour and I kept reading wanting to know more.
The only things I didn't like very much are some of Nora's choices of action. Most of the times she doesn't seam to think in a rational way, even when Patch is not around (no excuses then). The author makes her throwing herself into every kind of dangerous situation: dark alleys, dark garages, dangerous neighbourhoods, just to make the story going. No reasonable people would put themself in danger like that knowing that there's someone who is after them.
Maybe not the most original choice of carachters and relationships [it reminded me of twilight's but with an angel instead of a vampire) but anyway it feels good reading something you are sure you'll like.

What did I just read.
The law is lax nowadays because this thing is an exact copy of Twilight from a to z. What happened to copyrights?
There are a few things that set Hush, Hush apart from Twilight like:
1) The male lead Patch whatshisface is even more of a stalker than Edward Cullen and he can even be considered as a rapist.
2) Nora Grey makes me laugh because she really thinks she's a detective.
3) Becca Fitzpatrick's version of high school is more ridiculous that Stephanie Meyer's because over here molestation is on public display in the middle of a biology class?!
4) Slutshaming is on a whole new level.
