I don't know how to explain how I feel about this book other than I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I took the time to read it. It definitely makes you think about things and life.
I really like the premise of this book - that we need perspective to see situations of our lives clearly.The book was actually a series of short encounters, where the angel showed up unannounced, knowing the whole problem already and gave what seemed to be a pat answer to change the peoples' lives. I wasn't able to connect to the characters, as there wasn't much character development before "Jones/Chen/Garcia" swooped in to tell them stories that immediately changed their perspectives and lives.
The advice he gave was solid, and there were lessons to be learned by the reader, to be sure. Unfortunately, I was left with the desire to skim to the lesson in each chapter, and move on quickly in hopes that I would finish the book and be done.

Great book!!! I choose it because a friend of mine had rated it 5 stars.....and that it is. Wonderful story of perspective and really getting the most out of your life!
Reductive, small-minded, pretentious, and contrived. There may be some bits of wisdom to be gleaned from this book, if you’re willing to wade through the racist undercurrents and tiresome supernatural elements we are meant to excuse on account of the Christian/advice book element.

Este no era el libro para mí. Me atrajo la idea de un hombre ofreciendo consejo a distintos personajes, pero sinceramente esperaba algo más novela y menos libro de autoayuda. Sin embargo, la puntuación tan baja no se debe a mis expectativas frustradas, se debe a que algunos de los consejos que ofrece este libro son horribles y no deberían considerarse ni siquiera consejos (cambia para gustarle más a los demás?? no ha visto este hombre ninguna película Disney), y a las referencias a Dios y a la fe que me hacían ser bastante escéptica a cualquier consejo que viniera detrás. Para ser justos, estas referencias no son continuadas pero para mí el mensaje hubiera funcionado mejor sin ellas.
I loved this book. Before reading, I saw some reviews on another site that said it wasn’t great, but I strongly disagree. I think you need to go into it with the understanding that it’s a fictional story but also a personal development book. So it’s supposed to be positive and uplifting, but parts can come off a little cliche. However, it really did make me think about things in a differently light and the story itself was good too! I highly recommend for anyone that likes personal development books.
I read this book in one day. Not long but absolutely full of wisdom and perspective. It will help you see things you might not expect to Notice.
