3.5⭐️
The story idea is so conflicting that you want to know what is going to happen. This felt a bit obvious to me, almost at the beginning the whole plot was so painfully obvious that I started to lose interest a bit. Some bits were rushed and I just wished it was described in more details. Imagine finding out around page 300 that someone looks like so different from what I pictured just simply because it wasn’t described properly.
The whole book Kate and her friends talk about fuck boys. But in this case everyone is a f-boy and I thought it was a bit rude to have a main character who’s whole personality is hating everyone except her closest friends.
I did still decide on 3.5 stars simply because if I totally ignore the parts I hated, it’s a cute book. I’m a sucker for cute books. There’s a big variety of characters and it’s not badly written. I just thought the main character was obnoxious.

this book was so cute and really made me miss my high school theater days even though i was only theater-adjacent (costume crew)

I didn’t really know what I was going into with this book. I liked the theatre aspect and the drama but what brought it down for mw was the romance. I found it to be boring and almost forced at times.
