Interesting, especially since Charlie Manson and the family has been in the news fairly recently.

One of the most comprehensive accounts of the Manson Family I’ve read yet. You can tell this one is a bit biased given the author’s connection to the case as prosecutor. But overall, this was a very informative read with a nice pace and tone.

I read this twice... I blocked out the first reading but not because I didn't like it. I don't know why...

Fascinating insight into the The Family, Manson, and why it all happened. But I’m not sure how often I would recommend this book. If you love court room level details this book is for you. If you are looking for the highlights and the “why” behind it in a neat bow, perhaps skip this one.

This is a great fast read that goes over the arrest and trial of Charles Manson and the Family. It's fast and thorough with a nice time line. If this is the one thing that you read about the family you will get the idea of what was happening though if you want to know some of the mindset of the members and people who fell under his spell (which I wanted to know which is why I read Diane Lane's book first actually) you won't get that here.

Can't believe it took me this long to get to this; I've seen the 76 film adaptation a few times.

Bugliosi is very proud of himself as a prosecutor and cutting about the LAPD, LASO, and other attorneys on the case. He's not wrong though!

Can't say I "enjoyed" this but it was exhaustively informative!
