Ahsoka

Not much happened in the beginning, but reading Ahsoka's growth as a character in the second half was very enjoyable. I do wish that there was a bit more depth to her character when dealing with the hardships that came in the second half, but the book was overall enjoyable.

Listened to the audiobook version and quite enjoyed it. It was very nice to have Ahsoka's voice actor narrate the book.

Ahsoka Tano continues to be one of the best characters developed out of the Clone Wars series. This book takes place sometime after Order 66, with Ahsoka coming to terms with the new empire and with (as she thinks) her friends dead. It's a fair adventure and has the same beats as a Clone Wars episode. The plot is the spark of Fulcrum, not the stories of that time. That was disappointing; I wanted more of her time as Fulcrum. However, if you're a fan of the character, I would check this one out, if only to spend more time with the character. Bonus points to the audiobook, Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka from the series) does the narration. That may be why I felt like it was just a continuation of a Clone Wars episode.

I need like 10 more Ahsoka focused books immediately!!

So happy to finally read a book about one of my favorite female Jedi! I enjoyed the setting for this story as it makes a good transition story from the familiarity of the Clone Wars into the early years of the Empire and the Resistance. Ahsoka tries to bridge that gap in her own life, struggling with the grief and guilt the Jedi Order left in her heart while trying to find purpose in the uncertain future of the Empire's reign.
