Ahsoka by E. K. Johnston
Rating: 4/5
This story offers a pleasant and engaging read. It's evident that the author has put considerable effort into research and planning, providing valuable insights into Ahsoka's journey towards becoming Fulcrum.
I absolutely adored this book! While I typically gravitate towards longer fantasy or romance novels, my inner Star Wars fan couldn't resist diving into this one. The abundance of references to various elements of the Star Wars universe added an extra layer of enjoyment for me.
Plus, delving deeper into Ahsoka's character was a real treat, especially as I enjoyed the TV series so much, but this book provided even more depth and complexity to her story, which I absolutely loved.
The writing itself was simply stunning, drawing me in from the very first page and keeping me captivated until the end. Overall, a fantastic read that satisfied both my love for Star Wars and my appreciation for well-crafted storytelling.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Bonnier Books UK | Studio Press, and the author, E. K. Johnston, for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange for an honest and fair review.

Solid 4 stars. last half of the novel definitely seemed a little rushed but it was quite exciting. Questionably a young adult novel. this book is right on the edge of young adult vs adult and despite a much too quick climactic battle for my liking the book was overall fantastic and a great tie in to Star Wars Rebels.
3.5 stars. This was a well written novel about the Star Wars character Ashoka, after order 66 when the clones turned on the Jedi (and Anakin turned to the dark side). I haven't watched The Clone Wars tv show, which takes place prior to this book, so I was a bit lost at times. I probably would have rated this higher if I was more familiar with Ashoka's history. Recommended for Star Wars fans.
A great depiction of Ahsoka in her time between TCW and Rebels. Johnston does justice to the character, and while the story was a little bit slow at times, I think it really did a good job of describing her state of mind and struggles. I just wish we could see what she did before Episode III!
Really enjoyed this adventure with Ahsoka. It’s a slow build with lots of hints and nods, but the last 50ish pages really moved so much that I couldn’t stop reading.
A must for Ahsoka and Star Wars fans who want to explore more of this galaxy.

I loved how it captures Ahsoka years after Order 66 trying to lay low from the empires radar while still fighting that desire within her to help others and be apart of something bigger. The ending was satisfactory and a great transition/unexpected connection to what is revealed in rebels. Other than one thing that I found pretty bothersome.. the whole book was a wonderful journey that I really enjoyed reading. I’d definitely read it again. So much things happened that I could picture it in movie form.
