i fell in love when i watched the clone wars and rebels, and ahsoka is by far my favourite star wars character ever. i was so excited to read this book, and it filled in what i didn’t know happened to ahsoka after order 66.
the plot was quite slow but the book was really well written and i loved the different perspectives and mentions of characters ahsoka knew in the past, specifically obi-wan and anakin.
another thing i really loved was the hinting at kaeden’s crush on ahsoka, i always liked the idea of ahsoka and bo katan maybe being more than friends so this little addition made me super happy.
the destruction and horror cause by the empire was very detailed in this book and i enjoyed being told how ruthless they are, along with the appearance of an inquisitor and learning how ahsoka got her stunning white lightsabers.
i liked bail organa’s part in the story, mentions of leia and luke and how ahsoka came to join the rebellion, this book really bridged the gap between the clone wars and rebels!

I enjoyed this. This is the first Star Wars novel I've read since Vector Prime, and to me it is by far the best since Heir to the Empire, and I certainly enjoyed it even more than that one.

It's a Star Wars novel for sure--it's impossible to separate it from the franchise, though I think someone who has only ever watched the movies could actually enjoy this because it gives you all the context you need without dwelling on it. But first and foremost it is an engaging adventure with a lot of heart, personal stakes, and characters I definitely cared about from the beginning.

This was a great story that bridged the gaps between the Clone Wars and Rebels.
I listened to the Audiobook.
The timing of the story felt a little off, with flashbacks and perspectives that were lovely to hear, but not necessary to the plot. They felt a little jarring, and in some instances disrupted the pace and events of the story.
I loved Ashley Eckstein’s narration of Ahsoka, as it really felt like the story was in her voice. It was great to hear Ahsoka’s internal monologue and thoughts, and it really has shown how much she has grown and matured from the girl we met in the clone wars. I enjoyed the background noises and music from the series, however it did feel a little loud and overpowering in some scenes.
All in all a great listen, and I was keen to finish it!

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but I really like Ahsoka so when I saw this, I was intrigued. I couldn't wait to see her star in her own story and find out more about her.

This book was a nice little read. Didn't add much to my overall Star Wars knowledge but let me understand how Order 66 affected Ahsoka. It's just a shame that the book spent so much time talking about Obi-Wan, Anikin, and just stories we'd already seen rather than spending more time with Ahsoka and developing the new characters introduced in this book.

If you're a big Star War, Clone Wars, or Ahsoka fan, I recommend reading this to spend more time with the character but otherwise, don't bother. The story isn't much, feels quite rushed and fills in gaps with calls back to the prequels

I listen to the audiobook of this and it was a weird experience. It was choppily edited and just added in then removed sound effects willy-nilly. I would definitely recommend reading this rather than listening.
