To all those people who said, "I can't believe I'd never read Andrew Taylor before," I agree, I can't believe I hadn't, either. And now I am so glad I have. This first one had me so intrigued that I knew I had to continue and read the other two. What led Angel to become such a freak? Why is Uncle David such a jerk? I have to know...

Creepy and chilling! I highly recommend watching "Fallen Angel," based on this trilogy. Angel is a character you won't stop thinking about anytime soon.

I was expecting this book to centre on the family of the child that had gone missing and the investigation into finding her. This book goes into detail of the kidnappers lives and to be honest I really didn't enjoy reading about them. At one point I was very tempted to not continue because I was unsure of how much detail they were going to go into. I am very sensitive and so there are certain subjects that I really do not like reading about and this was one of them. Thankfully the point I nearly gave up was as bad as it got. I was really interested in the parents of the girl who had gone missing and would have been interested in reading more about them. This is the first of a series but I have read somewhere that one of the books goes into the backstory of one of the kidnappers. I will therefore not be continuing with this series but may read another book from this author if I happen to come across one.
