These books are so incredibly dark but which such loveable characters I cannot get enough of them!
Huldar and Freyja are the most likeable duo in any Nordic crime I've read to date. The banter and romantic tension adds a lightheartedness to a very dark series. As with all Children's House books this one focuses on crimes committed towards or by children, so abuse warnings galore. This is a dark book in a dark series.
I was a bit disappointed in this one because of its predictably. Although there were a few twists and turns and times I thought the ending would surprise me it ultimately finished up exactly where I expected. That said I'm absolutely continuing this series and will likely read all of them.

A bit hard to believe there would be so many murders by unconventional means.
Could have done with some proofreading as the translation has some inconsistencies.

I finally finished book two in the Children’s House series and while I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book, I can definitely say that this is a solid series so far and I can’t wait to read the next book

Endelig er Sigurðardóttir efter et par lidt skuffende bøger tilbage i den stil, jeg holder så meget af. Plottet er denne gang stærkere, og man føler, at man langsomt kommer til at kende hovedpersonerne bedre og bedre.
