"Welcome to the family" Nina says to Millie. LMFAO, yeah, welcome indeed.
This one has two POVs, alternating between Nina's and Millie's. You'll get the answers to your 'whys' in the second part. It's kinda f*cked up, but this one has a satisfying ending.
I don't know how to review this without revealing any spoilers, so I'd just say, read it if you enjoy thrillers.
I picked up this one because it was being recommended a lot and I'm glad I did. It may not be the most mind-blowing book, but I enjoyed it regardless. This would be great if you're new to the genre.

OK, I get the hype. I could not put this down and to me that is a recipe for a five star book. In hindsight, the twist was probably more obvious but my job was on the floor. I loved this so much! Definitely going to read more.

So after seeing this book so hyped up and been given so many 4/5 star reviews, I caved when I saw it in a charity shop for 2 pounds. Am I glad I did? No, I'm not sure how this is the same book everyone was raving about.
The plot itself was fine, nothing majorly wrong with it but definitely nothing above average, it made sense I guess. By page 50 I found myself skim reading and it still felt like I'd read the whole book properly, the writing was basic that didn't hold too much of my attention nor did it need it.
The main thing that didn't make sense to me was Millie, she is that character in a horror movie who dies first and because of her own sheer stupidity. She spent the last ten years in prison, for murder none the less, and were supposed to believe that she basically got handed warning signs so easily they slapped her in the face but ignored all of them?! Just prison alone for that long would have given her a sense of wit and street smarts for danger but being a murderer even more so. Oh and then after everything she said and knew about Nina being mentally unstable and jealous, she jumps in bed with her husband at the first chance. Her character alone made me annoyed to the point of not enjoying this book.
