This was incredible. I love that there's finally a protagonist who can use something as understated and misunderstood as math and physics as some sort of epic ability.

Also, all the contradictions, flaws, and unresolved conflicts of all the characters arw so, so delightful to read and follow along with, and I'm so excited to slowly resolve them along the way with the series.

I love how the book transitions perfectly to the next book; it ends like it should as part of a series. I do wish I could have seen more than what it ended at, just because I was looking forward to the
Spoilerdrinking party and seeing those two talk in jargon
.

I really love the pacing in this book, and how I couldn't take my eyes away from the page when we got to the massive showdown inside the head. It mimicked the disorienting effect that Cas felt and yes, more character development. More, more, and more. And then some.

AND THE MORALITY ARGUMENTS.
Also some Biblical references, Faraday cage, irresistible stone paradox, and more and more references. I'm glad I understood enough of them and looked up the rest. This book turns the things I like into even cooler things, and it's just, wow. I love it.

None of this is intelligible, but this book makes me unintelligible.

Loved this book! The characters had personality and made me care for them despite some fairly obvious flaws. The book really made me think about how we define thought. I'm excited to read the next two in the series, although I am disappointed I didn't know it was a series to begin with. I much prefer to read series all in order.
