Really interesting book - it's a great balance of current day narrative around the main violent crime as well as historical anecdotes of the Mormon faith. It was quite dense in certain chapters getting into the intricacies of the founding of the religion, the culture of the different cults out west, and the stories from different prophets, but all those stories were important to the story and interesting. Ended up being a fantastic crash course on Mormonism in addition to providing good commentary around fundamentalist cults across religions.
