4.5 stars Other than the typical “for my friends” trope I’m seeing more often as I’m continuing getting out of my comfort zone and reading more manga/manhwa/manhua this was a really enjoyable volume, and I’m excited for volumes to come!

The series continues to be interesting. In this volume, Asta's first mission ends and he realizes that being Magic Knight is not as easy as he thought. The first arc ends and without losing any time, the Black Bulls are given a new mission: capture the new dungeon. We also learn that the Golden Dawn will also be there which means Asta and Yuno will be reunited. The newly-introduced characters seem interesting especially Mars. Overall, it was a good volume.
