Don't  know how to rate this because I read it for school and its nonfiction. However I will say I appreciated the message of this book and I think it is definitely needed. Justice needs to be a part of sustainability. I also like how he used examples: food, space and place, and culture essential to the sustainability world but often overlooked. I see this easily becoming a foundational work in the sustainability space as another book focusing on a similar topic I read this year referenced this directly. However while the content was good it was tough to get through. It is not accessible for the everyday person. As a senior in college studying this content I had to go back and reread passages multiple times to understand what was being said.  I do understand that maybe the author wasn't written for the masses and  it was purposefully complex for scholars. As a reader and activist who wants this message spread further I do wish it was written in a bit simpler way. I am glad a read it, I would happily reread it someday, and think I learned from it but do not think this  book is accessible at all.
