Loved reading Jack and Jill's story.  I can't wait to read the rest of the series

This book was pure heart and fairy tale and plain truth wrapped up in a gothic cloak.

This book is a prequel to the first book in Seanan's Wayward Children series. It speaks to the child still inside of us adults, reminding us of when we read fairy tales daily and internalized their lessons. It also hearkens back to formative tales that we probably read as children or teens, namely Dracula and Frankenstein, but puts its own stamp and twist on them. Highly recommended to everyone, but start with the first book in the series. So much heart and soul in this book.
