I try to stay away from horror as much as possible, but I had heard so many great things about this book that I couldn't resist. Horror continues to be very much not my thing. The art was incredibly effective in conveying the visceral terror of the work-- so effective that I was focused completely on that and actually lost some of the narrative. I'm not sure if I was just confused because the art was so completely distracting me from the text, but I felt like something was missing here.

Really great graphic novel about hate and fear manifested as supernatural horror. The art is really grungy in a great way and fits the horror well. Highly recommend this for graphic novel fans, horror fans, and any reader who enjoys a good story that dives into the stains hatred and racism haunt us with!

Infidel shows what happens when hate consumes people. I loved the realistic illustrations of ethnicities and the difference perspectives presented. The conversation of attraction being racist or preference was thought provoking. The book itself is gruesome/gory and that was fun. Very eye opening graphic.

One of the most consummately satisfying and frightening American horror comics ever written. Between this and The Good Asian, Pichetshote cements his place as one of the best working today.

While I liked the concept/premise of 'Infidel', I was a little mixed on some elements of the artwork, some of the gaps in the story and character arcs/events.

The story is a good solid scare. The artwork/imagery was goddamned terrifying!
If I read it right, the introduction says a movie is being made. I hope it does the book justice.
