A slow paced story that follows a different persons experiences at the Laundry. It’s a good read that i enjoyed, would be good as a drama!

I'm not sure whether it's to do with the translation or a difference in cultural style of writing, but the writing, and particularly conversational dialogue, in this book felt very basic and immature. This book seems to tell rather than show.
I appreciate the aim of the book, but feel that other books (such as What You Are Looking For Is In The Library) have done this self-reflection / self-revelation style MUCH better, subtler and in a more sophisticated way.
Honestly the only reason I finished this was because it is easy to read and relatively short, and I enjoyed the experience of reading from a small, light-weight hardback.
It's not bad, per se, and it might be good for someone who hasn't heard the self-help clichés and is used to reading non-fiction. But I wouldn't recommend it.
I can't help but wonder whether this just boils down to a different culture and social norms? It was hugely popular in Korea and it must be for a good reason. I just can't see it.

I was not interested in the premise or the characters.
Not a bad book, just maybe not something I was in the mood for! Found myself losing interest & speedreading after the halfway point 🫠
I also feel like the translation probably didn’t do this book justice, the language felt sometimes clunky, which i don’t it is in korean.
