This was seriously terrible. Apparently I read a different book than everyone else. It sounds like it was written by a beginner, and there are several grammatical and editing errors. I skimmed through it after a while to make sure I didn't miss anything, and to see if it would improve, but it just got worse. At least it was free, but I'd like my time back.

This book touches some issues: lies, abuse, scandal, etc. Addy wasn't completely upfront about everything. Keegan hasn't been upfront about things on his end either. Peg is the most innocent and endearing party who is in the middle of all this. I just love Peg's heart. So willing to embrace people and call them "Daddy"--no doubt, she has some form of PTSD due to a past history of abuse and needs some security and a lot of tender loving care from a paternal figure. She wormed her way into the hearts of Cookie, Shane (the sheriff) and Keegan. And naming the animals, Kooky One, Kooky Two, etc was a hilarious touch.

This is book two of a series; I haven't read book one, but I didn't feel hampered by that. A pleasant read though does have some frustrating miscommunication. Didn't stick with me after I read it.
