2020 reread
I realized a few pages, err, screens in that I'd read this, but I didn't remember the details or the perp, so decided to reread. I enjoyed this again and am curious where Capri's book will take it considering the case is wrapped up. I'd really love Reacher to stop sleeping with the female protagonist in many books. It just doesn't appeal. That said, a good read with lots of twists and turns and deliciously questionable characters.

2016 read
I actually think this was the best of the Reacher titles so far, although the twist at the end made my head explode. I found the Petrosian stuff a slight derail, but overall a good, quick read.

My only complaint is with respect to the e-book formatting in the last third when it constantly switched perspectives from the perp to Reacher and Harper. Only occasionally were symbols used to break up the sections and I think we needed more of those to make this more readable.

Another really good Reacher novel. This one has a really solid mystery behind it and it makes sense even though it's a relatively complex plot.

I was able to figure out bits of the solution, but not all of it and it made sense once it was all explained, which is nice. No sudden introduction of twins or any other classic mystery misdirection, instead it's all new misdirection!

Very good, and it's nice to see character growth in Reacher.

A psychological thriller with a unique premise—someone is murdering women connected to the military, and Reacher is the prime suspect. The FBI pulls him into the case, leading to a fascinating battle of wits. This novel is lighter on traditional action but makes up for it with an intense, procedural-style investigation. The deep dive into Reacher’s past relationships, particularly with women, adds complexity to his character. A slow-burn mystery with a shocking conclusion.

Most of the Jack Reacher storylines are far from reality, but this one was way too much of a stretch. Not giving up on the series just yet though.

Interesting concept. Figured out the twist ahead of time which always makes me feel smug!
