Well-written space adventure. Serves as a transition from the opening trilogy and the ongoing storyline of the series. Really a story about despair and finding your way out of it. For Garro it’s through faith. Good to see Qruze take a bigger role. I hope we get to see more of him throughout the series.

Nathiel Garro was a name I had known of but never understood. Now, after this, I see who he is and I am impressed.

He starts off very set in his dogged ways but shifts to accept that maybe, just maybe, he is part of something greater.

You gotta be fucking kidding me with this shit man. James Swallow is an absolute god of written word. Congrats to The Black Library for locking these amazing writers up behind closed doors for so many years.

The Flight of The Eisenstein (Horus Heresy 4/54) by James Swallow: 😈😈😈😈 .5/5 A very very good entry in the series, and it was amazing seeing Istvan III from the point of view of another squad. I also love how face paced this was, it was like a wild chase with betrayal, drama, the warp and of course our good old chaos friends (also drink every time someone mentions how beautiful Horus is). These books really do balance the overly dark with this hyper machismo almost grimcamp and I really love it. That being said the way Swallow writes gore is excellent, and hes very good at doing action. So far this is one of my fav in the series, and Im very excited for book 5 which I know is a lot of my friends favs. Overall a really really great book, and Im happy to be chipping away at this epic beast (now just to read the next 50......and the 16 primarch books, and the 10 book finale)

Another great entry to the Horus Heresy series.

If you're a fan of 40k (and doubly so if you're a loyal servant of the emperor), you should give this series a try.
