This book is an exercise is pure misanthropy. Characters are vapid, empty commentary on the hypocrisy of piety, with a plot that serves nothing but to punish you for thinking there is a deeper message. It is suffering for the sake of suffering. Well written misery.

The best kind of disturbing. The VVitch and Midsomer vibes with some mommy kink, but better because it’s a book.
