This one was a ride, I can’t believe I read it in one sitting?! Like in one night I read a 945 pages on my kindle (yes it is actually 5am right now)
Anyway it was good, very very action-packed but not boring because I was hooked from start to finish.
I was waiting for this conclusion for this book but I did start to wonder at some point if it was coming because I was on the edge of my seat until the very end.
I’m kinda scared to read the next one because I know it’s the months between Hudson and Grace and my heart ache for my boy Huddy.

Court by Tracy Wolff is the fourth book in her series, Crave. I am so impressed with myself for struggling through this nonsense, at 700 pages, it was no easy feat – I should check what the page count is for all these books in total, but I fear it’ll upset me. This novel must be the largest in the series, and at times was a serious struggle! This book is focused – or is meant to be focused, there is as always a lot of side plots – on the war between Cyrus, the vampire court and the werewolves vs Grace and the gargoyle court. I was pleased to see some of my favourite characters back, like Remy and Calder and Jikan the God of Time, but I’m unsure why Dawud was introduced to the story at this point, originally I think the series was meant to be a trilogy, making this the last book, so why introduce someone new now? Everyone instantly trusts Dawud, and I was waiting for him to come out as actually working against them, but his character was simply another surface level participator. (I think ending this series on the war would have been a good conclusion, but Wolff has brought out some serious books after this, so I have no idea where she is going to go from here with this now the villain has been defeated.) More of the Order dies, but this is expected and we have no attachments to them as readers as they’re such undeveloped characters they mean nothing to the plot.
As always the book was heavily cringy and Grace is incredibly annoying – I can’t with her and Hudson, I think the word ‘Mate’ was mentioned three times on every page. Its excessive and the whole romance arc is sickeningly. Despite this, the series is an incredibly ‘easy’ read – in the sense that it requires little thought besides keeping up with the hundred background characters and million side quests they’re constantly doing. I would have loved it a lot more if I’d read it when I was 14.
