the world building is whack as hell because there’s no definite line for the existence of supernaturals in this particular world. the author conveniently needs gods to make the mc more powerful? there will be gods. the author needs parallel realms to drag this series out for no reason? there sure as hell will be parallel realms. the author needs fucked up time control to cover up plot holes? there is, in fact, fucked up time control. 

overall, i’ve tried not to be too critical of this series after reading the first book because i wanted to enjoy it as crack fiction but these are some inescapable defects in the books, i can’t help but point out. honestly, all the stars i’ve given till now have been only for the character dynamics and the main relationship! beyond these two things, this book was stupid as hell

I did not enjoy this book quite as much as the others in the series because honestly the length of the books is getting to me. Also, this book had a lot less pop culture references in it which was one of my favourite things about the previous books.

All that said…this story IS creative and fun and there are enough twists and turns in the books to warrant their size. Also THERE IS ANOTHER BOOK AFTER THIS? I’m not sure what it will have in it but I’m hoping it um…finishes the series? But I’m not sure since the entire last book was set up in the final chapter of this one so who know.
