Unfortunately not one that I particularly enjoyed this time. I thought the premise sounded interesting and, of course, the exotic locations, but I didn’t connect with any of the characters really. Perhaps Regan was the exception here in some ways.
I felt that Charlotte was just not likeable in any way and, although I assume we are supposed to feel sad for her after her husband’s death, I felt she was just too buttoned up with her kids. This may have been part of the point but, if so, I would expect her to thaw a little by the end but I didn’t feel like she did.
I’m sure this would appeal for the locations for some, but sadly not one for me…

Juicy fruit gum. You buy a pack because it seems exciting. After chewing for approximately 10 seconds, the good flavor and potential wears off. You add another stick hoping that will solve the lack of flavor but all you end up with is a big wad of flavorless gum.

I'm not sure why I thought this was a lighthearted book that I would enjoy reading. Maybe it was because of the cover and the fact that I've been seeing it around a lot. It’s not that I didn't enjoy reading it. It's just that I guess I expected something different from this book.
It's a 'not sure how I feel' book, so I'm glad I had the chance to listen to the audiobook and didn't have to regret buying it!

I expected more. I skipped pages alot of pages and when I picked up again it was the same old whining people trying to get life together and hiding secrets.
I love Amanda’s books. Once again, she creates interesting characters in complicated situations. I thought the ending was a bit too tidy, but I enjoyed nonetheless.
Meh. Kind of expected a light hearted fun read about a family vacation, not light hearted at all.
Wasn’t quite what I was expecting but still a good read. Loved the multi perspectives and timelines. Wrapped up too hastily.
I didn’t like this book at all and couldn’t wait for it to end. I didn’t like any of the characters and there were things left unanswered which was weird.
I just couldn't relate to the characters or story at all. Super sad as this was my second blah Hello Sunshine Book Club title this week. I actually DNF The Guest List as I felt the build up was slow and I was tired of waiting for something to happen. Bailed on that one half way through. Kinda wish I had bailed on this one as well.
