This was so close to being a 5 star book for me. So close! That ending just missed the mark for me though, and I finished the book feeling like there was no real resolution for any of the characters. I was so engrossed in their separate stories and waited for it to be fleshed out, for something to happen, and then it just ended rather abruptly.
slow-paced

I thought I would be swept away with stories of foreign places, but instead I got a drawn-out book about family drama, in which I was confused about some aspects of said family drama (like the whole Regan-Matt storyline).
