I think this book takes what the first book was good at and expanded it! The characters are fun, the world-building is supreme, and there’s a lot of intrigue on what’s going on with the rival organizations. Still a good chunk of weird racism with the snakes and “wet-poopers”. But other than that, I’m excited to see where the story goes from here!

Nothing really happened in this book until the last few chapters. Every character is highly capable of being annoying, Twilight being the most annoying with his awful songs. I like Ezylryb though

I for some reason don’t have the third and fourth book. I am interested in Eglantine’s story but I may be satisfied by just looking it up. The series isn’t quite holding me, certainly not as it did when I first read it.
