I haven't read much from Jasmine Guillory before and this is now the 3 work I have tried from her. I think it is time to admit that maybe her writing/books are just not for me. I didn't really enjoy this novella in comparison to the others in the collection. I didn't really believe the relationship between the two main characters. Hate to love/"enemies" to lovers is so hard to do in contemporary romances because it is really hard to make it believable and I just didn't believe he actually hated her. And yes, it turns out he never actually hated her, but the objection stands... the whole thing just felt ridiculous.

I was loving this book! I thought it was so cute at first but then… the spicy scene happened. Daisy girl, you just met this man. He could be a stalker. Why are you jumping his bones at the first time you guys talk. The bar was set so low for her I fear and that pushed my rating below the 3 star mark. It’s such a short book there doesn’t need to be spicy scenes.
