This is a YA story I like where the emotions and thought processes of Katness are realistic for someone her age. Yet, all of us (of any age) can understand and empathize. The story was a great escape and I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

I really liked it. It's very gripping and I was on edge despite knowing what was gonna happen in the end haha (watched the movie a few years ago). The characters were great. I really like how Katniss was written. She wasn't overly skilled or overly snarky, just very realistic. Peeta and Rue were also great characters. The worldbuilding/dystopia is written well. I loved the commentary on classism and using people's pain for entertainment.
