An absolute delight !! Two people Addie and Sol, have lived emotionally restricted lives. Addie lives on the island of Rokeby helping her controlling mother to run a women’s retreat. Addie does most of the work and feels unappreciated. Sol, the son of a vicar comes to the nearby island of Ora for a retreat run by Brother Andrew. Addie finds the strength to run away from her mother and with the help of Sol ends up escaping and living on the mainland where she establishes herself as a dressmaker. Sol returns to his profession of teaching and applies for a position in a remote island off Scotland.

Although there is a very strong attraction between them, neither of them know how to have an emotional relationship. With time they learn how to be comfortable together and eventually have the loving relationship they both desperately want.

A story of love, personal growth, discovery and contentment. A book I wanted to finish to see what happens but I didn’t want it to end.
