This 2nd book in the series has a better flow than the first and I enjoyed the writing style much more this time. This one also has the element of suspense with a serial murderer on the loose which adds to the storyline. There is also a paranormal twist in this one that was rather confusing. I like paranormal, but I can't see how that element was necessary to the story. I find myself liking Frankie and Kenina less and less. Frankie was insecure in the first book, but in this one, he's controlling, jealous, and just a flat out jerk. I didn't see any of those insecurities by the end of this book, and it didn't help his likability when he wasn't at all remorseful for things he'd done. Orrin and Vance are the saving grace for this one, IMO, both being likable and having some morals. Kajika was likable as well, but seems to be almost a secondary character in this one. The book does end in a cliffhanger - just a head's up for those that don't like them.
