Cambio ufficialmente il mio voto per questo libro, dopo qualche mese dalla lettura. Non mi capita spesso di ricordarmi ogni singolo avvenimento o nome di un libro, ancora meno ogni singola emozione provata. Con questo libro mi è successo e ripensando ai libri che più mi hanno colpita l'anno scorso sicuramente questo è tra le prime posizioni. Si merita tutte le stelline del mondo.

In realtà sono combattuta su quanto dare a questo libro. Da una parte, mi è indubbiamente piaciuto moltissimo, e quindi gli vorrei dare 4/5: per le tematiche trattate, per l'originalità, i personaggi meravigliosi, il modo in cui tutto si intreccia e si unisce. Dall'altra, ha qualche cosa di freddo che mi ha tenuta a distanza e non mi ha permesso di appassionarmi completamente. Per ora darei un voto di 3/5, ma potrei sempre cambiarlo in futuro, una volta che avrò pensato meglio al libro. Comunque rimane un voto meritatissimo, per un libro che consiglierei di provare a tutti gli appassionati del genere perchè, almeno per quanto mi riguarda, non ho mai letto nulla di simile. Sicuramente il livello di difficoltà è un po' più alto del solito e l'inizio è piuttosto lento, ma una volta entrati nella storia si resta incollati alle pagine.

— I have so many questions. 

About 100 pages into this book I was super struggling, more than usual with fantasy/sci-fi books. But I just decided to go with it and decided that any questions I had would either be answered or didn’t matter. I’m so glad I didn’t give up despite the confusion and my lack of understanding on literally anything in this because it all came together incredibly. I love this. This I the most unique story I’ve ever read and I’m thrilled.

REALLY did enjoy the payoff of this book, although it was a little bit slo and confusing in the beginning. I generally don't mind being confused, but it just made it difficult to get into with how slow it was starting out. But I did REALLY enjoy the writing, even with the second person perspective (which can be difficult to do well) and came to be invested in all the different POVs

4.5 🌟 took me a little bit to get into it, to get a grasp of the world, and get used to the writing. But so good and need to read the next 2 ASAP. Also I loved Syenite and Alabasters complicated relationship (plus innon).
